Okay, so maybe your wallet is really empty. Well, don't hesitate to make a quick visit to any dollar store. The Dollar Store is full of everything: cooking utensils, bath soaps and lotions, photo frames, small kids' toys-and all for only a single dollar!
The dollar store is also a great place to find small knick knack items for stocking stuffers such as magnets, stationary or even dog toys!
The dollar store can also be an ideal place to search for items to make someone a personal gift. Take a simple photo frame for example. Photo frames from the dollar store can be altered and made personal, which shows the person your giving the gift to your creative side. Make your best friend a unique photo frame and decorate it with beads, gems, and feathers, then add a black and white photo of the two of you to it. It's simple and easy, and it also means a little more to them that you put time and effort into making their gift. People certainly appreciate the thought!
After all the shopping is said and done, Christmas truly is a time of being together and spending time with family and friends. Gifts are great, and it's an amazing feeling to see your little sister tear apart wrapping paper to discover her favorite cd, but it's not what Christmas is all about.
Spending tons of money on pricy gifts is truly not in the Christmas spirit, so don't worry about getting everyone the newest, biggest, and best present out there. Lots of people just enjoy the time you spend with them over the holidays.
While holiday shopping for friends and family on a college student budget does present some minor problems, it doesn't have to stop you from feeling like you've made someone happy with your gifts. There are plenty of inexpensive gift ideas out there that will make anyone happy early on Christmas morning. So go, and get your shop on!
Here are some Great gift ideas:
Gift Sets- Wal-Mart has tons of pre-made Christmas gift sets for reasonable prices. Men and Women's cologne and perfume sample sets, Disney character blanket and pillow sets, and bath soap and lotion sets are already put together and ready to wrap!
